Bioulac, S., Arfi, L., & Bouvard, M. P. (2008, February 21). Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and video games: A comparative study of hyperactive and control children

This article explains and compares the behavior of kids with ADHD and playing video games. The study involved 50 children, 29 with ADHD and 21 controls between the ages of 6 and 16 years old. Researchers used the Child Behavior Checklist and the Problem Video Game Scale or PVP Scale in order to measure problem use which can be attributed to addictive video game playing. Parents were also given a questionnaire regarding their children's playing habits. While researchers could not conclude a difference between the use of video games between the controls and kids with ADHD, the kids with ADHD did exhibit more problems regarding gameplay.
